I suggest you actually watch it all the way through. Jerry Lee is certainly not a perfect individual, but...racism is not one of his flaws. The movie correctly captures his inspiration (black R & B singers/musicians of the era) and contrasts his 'descent' into that realm whilst his 'holy-joe' cousin makes a name for himself as a hypocritical Televangelist. U a dummy!
