  1. Clyfland Says:
Its not an objection, more of a historical irrelevance to the topic in hand. I have said so many times before, whatever our troops are doing in Iraq is not in my name and I stand by that. I don't blame our military, they are disciplined and do not question their orders just carry them out. Most of the electorate don't agree with why they are there or what they are doing. Most of the military think that its pointless. We don't have your constitution, we can't get rid of our govt once elected
  2. FRIEDA Says:
LOL are you getting all bunched up again? I get your point but you obviously don't get mine....the rich /poor divide is getting wider. African americans, Mexicans, and Chinese are still treated as second class citizens despite being born American, due to their ethnicity they are thought of, and in a lot of cases treated as sub human. When they are welcomed into, and valued as productive members of society instead of marginalised it will be a great day!
  3. ANGHARAT Says:
So the US is divided? Oh man if this isn't another case of the pot calling the kettle black! Although they're all part of the United Kingdom, England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales all consider themselves to be seperate and distinct countries with their own seperate identities, flags and anthems. You don't even consider yourselves to be the same country but you call yourselves the United Kingdom. Also, your society has always had clearcut distinctions of commoner and aristocrat even now! lol
  4. WRIGHT Says:
Inbred is not spelled "inbread" just like tiniest is not spelled "tinyest". You'd come off as more intelligent if you didn't keep insisting a word you misspelled previously was spelled correctly. People do care about the US much more than they care about Australia. You're nothing but a curiousity because you have kangaroos & koalas but you haven't impacted world history in any major way nor are you currently relevant in world affairs Why don't you go on walkabout & lose yourself in the bush?
  5. Clyfland Says:
Wrong! I was in the military and I traveled to alot of different countries and I have also lived in several different states. I am not a staunch Republican as I voted for Kerry in 2004 so don't try to blame me for Bush. I am educated which is why I recognize your argument, and I use the term loosely since it is not based on fact or rationality, just assumptions, every one of which is wrong, is utter bullshit. The song does not say the US is the only free country but no place is freer!
  6. Kempe Says:
You object to my discussing the Zulu wars so lets speak about something more current which is that Britain has troops in Iraq, and has had them there just as long as the US. So how exactly does that qualify you to sit in judgment of the US or why should your assessment on that issue be listened to? So you tell me why Britain is still there and then we can discuss why we are. Otherwise, I'd say a change of topic is called for.
  7. Dekle Says:
World opinion has always been against the United States. Whether we have done good or ill the world has always sat in judgment of the US and that judgment has always been unduly harsh. We give more to humanitarian causes than any other nation. Much of our national debt is from helping to rebuild Europe after WW2. But does this ever get figured in to the equation? Hell no! So I don't think the world is actually a fair and impartial judge and since their opinion is biased it has no value!
  8. Jadaya Says:
pfft, and you think people care about america? who says australians are brit wannabe's? only a retard such as you. its inbread you dogfucker. this is funny how i can offend you at the tinyest thing, obviously evolution decided not to grow you a pair, because you wont be needing them. bahaha :)
  9. Gary Says:
Of course its making a political and ideological statement, are you that brainwashed! You should be one nation under god but realistically you are a broken and divided nation, this is what 8 years of Republicanism has done for you. Unity and strength will make the US great again, not marginalising sections of society...you watch the video and listen to the moron! leave us to discuss the freedoms you enjoy and how to make the US and the world a better place...
  10. Wilford Says:
I would say that the arbiter of overreaction is world opinion! The majority of free thinkers think it was a complete overwhelming all encompassing injustice...just those involved try to justify it as otherwise. What my country did 130 years ago is not relevant here surely, It wasn't in my name then or now...I don't hold you to account for wounded knee do i? If you were there just to get Saddam out, why the hell are we still there?
  11. Maiya Says:
    Nice song.
  12. Traci Says:
ok guys its this is a video to honor the veterans of our country not some political statement. besides you guys the elections are over its time to settle our diffrences. we are 1 freakin country not 50 states divided. oh btw sonofabich stfu a just God does it exist and idk if God loves america or not but its no lie that he loves his children and he is just. i can give u so much proof so dont try to beat me
  13. Keane Says:
Oh, slavery has been abolished in the US? Wow, magistr88 must be one of those Republican-base "educated" types. He has likely never traveled outside his state, but he has deep thoughts about the rest of the world no doubt. I wonder if he shares Lee's arrogant and narrow minded world-view, where the USA is the only "free" country? Did I mention how much I Iove this simian anthem?
  14. Tuomas Says:
If a just God existed, She would fucking hate america. Luckily for us, that shit is a fairy tale. This song sucks drippy and diseased camel cocks.
  15. WARE Says:
I mean people have been bitching about Bush sending in troops with there being no wmds, yet even though Bin Laden has not been seen in over five years, Obama wants to send troops to Afghanistan, but nobody thinks that's weird. Also, wait until no Brits are in Iraq before you start thrashing the US for being there. Because when you talk about us your talking about Britain as well.
  16. Sunniva Says:
The peaceful law abiding people who are trying to create a stable government, elected by the people instead of some dictator seizing control WANT us there. Only the terrorists and insurgents want us gone. Don't worry though, Obama sounds like he's going to do like Kennedy in the Bay of Pigs and pull us out of there and let Iraq come under control of another dictator, probably worse than Sadam, and send the troops on another wild goose chase in Afghanistan chasing a ghost. LOL
  17. HADAR Says:
But who is the arbiter of what is an overreaction? Do what you have to to get the job done. Don't act like Britain didn't follow the same policy in the old days. Off the top of my head, in the Zulu Wars they faught people who were fighting with sticks and animal hides with bullets and cannon balls. So what are you saying then, that in wars, we should hold back and only fight using the technology the enemy has at their disposal so more of our people die. C'mon. The UK's there too remember?
  18. ADAMINA Says:
See you did it again....how can i leave that one? A measured response to a threat is one thing, an absolute overreaction or disproportionate response amounting to military oppression and subjugation of a nation is immoral...hitting back at a minority of terrorist extremists you may be able to justify as you could the removal of a dictator.....continued military occupation and aggression in Iraq on the basis of a lie was not acceptable. But we will never agree on that.....G'night
  19. Ruaidhri Says:
Yeah, reaction was the word I was going for. Rest well!
  20. Jed Says:
Did he not also say for each and every action there is an equal and opposite reaction .....QED.... Force meets force and what is achieved a dead stop friction and stalemate...Shall we go onto Hookes Law or Boyles law now? goodnight my friend, its 0130 and up for work in 6hrs...Its good to joust!
  21. RINJI Says:
So viewed from another perspective, I am a pacifist, since I focus my efforts to bringing the disagreement to an end.
  22. WAREINE Says:
In layman's terms, if someone attacks the US that matter, I obliterate them and then that puts an end to the argument.
  23. NANTRES Says:
I am only hypocritical if I advocate peace and then kick them in the ass. I guess I suscribe to Machiavelli's pholosophy that it is better to be feared than loved. I believe force must be responded to with greater force. Wasn't Newton that said an object in motion stays in motion unless it comes in contact with an equal or opposite force? Simple thermodynamics my friend.
  24. DEARG Says:
LOL, have you had the Websters out again. I guess what you are saying is that you believe that you have to kick ass first to get people to see sense in a quicker time frame. I have been there in the ass kicking department, and can say from first hand experience that you get compliance through fear but neither respect nor the message you want to convey as you are seen as hypocritical, using violence and intimidation as a means to try and promote pacifism has never worked
  25. WYNNE Says:
That's fine when you're dealing with other rational people but unfortunately,it's been my experience if you talk over people's head they miss the point entirely. If I respond to some crack with a eloquent pensive rebuttal the response would only be consternation followed by mirth. When you're arguing with intelligent people a well reasoned response is the best approach. When an idiot insults you a more pithy response is called for You have to use the right tool for the job. You know that! :)
