More than you think probably, google "Compound Charged" for more information. There was a production Nissan micra with both turbo and superchargers.

Actually directed to one of the comments below there are cars with superchargers and turbos, it can be quite easily done, one is belt driven one is exhaust driven, Ive seen many generators that also have both
Garrey Says: November 14th, 2008 at 07:37:17
thats not true. konigsegg has a car with a ford derived motor with twin superchargers. there are others.

The trick to setting up a road car is the tire weight balance There is usually just a couple or more percent diff between the front and the back.On a road course a neutral set up is the best because you are making both right and left. The driver makes his corrections to the style on each turn that best sets it up for the next turn. You can use the throtle if you have the torque/ rpm range matching the turn speed, not all turns are the same.A good driver can make a car over but he cant under.

do you know anything about the technology in german or japanese cars?
learn a little before you talk shit.
ELKI Says: November 14th, 2008 at 10:18:10
Really? A turbo with twin superchargers? Either you've got a great sense of humor, or you're full of it. With the exception of a few experimentals, there are no cars that have both turbos and a supercharger. And there are NO cars with more than one supercharger.

ive got a bmw 850 csi turbo with twin superchargers, its manual and goes like fuck. would leave this like fuckin shit off a shovel.

Oh, you lucky guy :) I can just borrow my grandpa's lunchbox once in a while :(
I advise to get a whole manual gearbox to it (of course if you share my point of view concerning shifting), because the advantages of straight-cuts come out when you have the proper technique. The clutch of the automatic works whole another way. So the most convenient choice I think would be to apply a stock Mustang manual to your car. You'll see the huge difference in resiliency and consumption. Good luck!

well i didnt really have a choice
my dad got me an automatic 98 V6 Mustang
im just trying anything to do more to it
and if i can put up with 3 ex girlfriends yelling at me.....i can put up with some noise from my car
lol
EADAION Says: November 14th, 2008 at 12:59:03
I don't know about any reasons why anyone would do that. Automatic isn't for the track. It's just an invention which makes drivers lazy and clumsy. Who can drive and knows a little about cars, prefers manual.
I for one condemn this "automatization", I wouldn't ever buy a car without a stick.
Btw, considering that automatics are for your comfort, why would you sit along with this huge noise on the freeway? :D
FLEURETTE Says: November 14th, 2008 at 13:22:02

silly Russians
but can you put a straight cut transmission in an automatic?
Gilbride Says: November 14th, 2008 at 14:30:59
Once I tried it a home-built rallycar (you might know the Russian car LADA :D), and it had a funny gear-layout too, other than the usual H-type:
3 2 1

4 5 R
Tiladene Says: November 14th, 2008 at 14:53:58
This straight-cut transmission is mostly used in racing sports, because in some groups (e.g. former N-group in rally) it's forbidden to change the transmission. And this type can bear more torque than the normal one. The other thing is that you don't need to use the clutch when you're shifting, only when starting. Since it's not synchronised, you can only shift the gears one by one, which makes it strange to use.
