  1. ALEMANNUS Says:
Benzs firs car was all but impractical... but thats what it took to come to the modern car we are facing today... just some people who are facinated in it and just try to make it work.. things are still far from perfect .. but why not give it a go on cloth car :D anyways :D its a magnificent idea :D you got a point though... indeed - it might bend or wobble.. - but every mistake can be solved :D thats how concept cars reach production - by clearing its mistakes ...:D
  2. DARNELL Says:
the first ideas may be impractical .. yes.. of course... but thats how things evolve.. first there is the first concept.. with all of its mistakes.. it has shown the world that you can think outside the box... with its many imperfections .. it still has cleared my view at least... we learn from our mistakes... the cloth car is a new topic to start engineering for and solve its problems... its great... and thats how things work..
  3. CLEOPATRA Says:
wow.. this is very interesting.. I think the concept is a great idea. They should pursue it. I love the way the lights open and close, it looks like eyes. Wonderful concept.
  4. SALMONEUS Says:
nice job :D hope you make it :D The fact that the material is flexibal made me to think that it will strech I think that gina has a small engine to power it from a room to another one because it will sit in the BMW musem. But it is the first step in this way and probably the will perfect the idea because i think that many people would luke such a car:D But it is still not practical. Think how it will be to wash it with a sponge.
  5. MAYMUNAH Says:
i`m studying to become a car technician ... so the car topic is my work and my passion... but i`m willing to give it a go... so whatever Gina has to offer... i`m willing to give it a chance... Materials can be changed to be last in the conditions they have to withstand in ... as how i see it.. is that its pretty much flexible material with high durability... i guess there are supports on the strategic spots which guarantee that the material remains stable on speeds...
  6. YAMINAH Says:
yes but you know that ther is a plastic bumper there which is not so strong. The fact that your car does not have something that is soft and move like Gina's headlights make you feel better. The only thing I question is that at a high speed how will that material hold?
  7. HEBE Says:
its in the matter of thinking... we are just used to metal cars - that we think that it cant be any different... weight is what keeps cars from getting faster and more efficient at the same time... when dealing with cloth like cover.. - why not ? its just a cover to keep the weight down.. it still can be safe.. anyways i like the concept of this car... kind of makes me want to go and start studying cars all over again .. and concentrate more to these alternate ways :D
  8. NOURBESE Says:
on collision impacts while doing small - to moderate speeds that is... car has to absorb the force in the impact , so the people inside it would get stressed by smaller amounts of force... when crashing on a speedway - i myself would like to think that theres more of a metal construction in front of me than a small plastic bumper...
  9. Blythe Says:
if you have a plastic bumper or a 5mm sheet of metal instead of it, you will be more safer
  10. FILIPINA Says:
i dont think I;d like to hit a light pole in a car made out of cloth
  11. Sagar Says:
The concept is fascinating, but I'm not sure if it will prove to be a better alternative.
  12. Cristy Says:
YAA!! BMW ist wie ne droge..
  13. Evelake Says:

  14. Riddock Says:

  15. LASSE Says:

  16. Duante Says:
When you Scratch it ya Grandma can fix it!!!!!
  17. Wynward Says:
    Future BMW Z4 or Z8. :)
  18. Garrey Says:
    context over dogma...briliant philosophy.
  19. Jeffrey Says:
they shuld call it "Gina" (pronounced Gyna) da V.A. series
  20. Khadijah Says:
does anyone know what the song is?
  21. EDMUNDA Says:
your simile is just as bad, if not worse than his...if you replace the shell of an egg with a stretchy material, the insides would still get damaged, regarless of wether the skin rips or not. The car has a skeleton...an egg does not. Ypu'de be better off comparing the car to a person. a human's skin protecs to a minor level, but the bones[e.g. a ribcage] is what protects our insides from impact....so epidermis/dermis=gina skin and bones=chassis and runners.

  23. Mychaela Says:
    Is GINA CHINESE?
  24. Estella Says:
wow this is sick!:D i mean this car is like another human!:S
  25. Gedeon Says:
No; you're right, a skull is more hard, therefore more brittle. He's still trying too hard to defend the design....
